I do not remember when I took this photo but I have grown to cherish it over the years. This is a Passiflora also known as the Passion flower. It has joined the Sunflower as one of my few favorite flowers! I believe I went to gardens somewhere when I was in middle or highschool for a science project. According to Google, it was used traditionally in the Americas and later in Europe as a calming herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. It is still used today to treat anxiety and insomnia. I hope one day to be able to grow some so I can see if it's effects work! LOL
I love all the color and shapes and the depth in this photo!
